 Leongatha Refrigeration Service was established in 1958 in the main street of Leongatha, 21 years ago we moved to the site where we currently operate. Leongatha Refrigeration Service was established by the Slainey family, a father and son team, who operated the business until 1998.

About Us
Brad and Liz Smart came on board as owners indirectly ten years ago, through a business partnership that bought the business and the site, and then directly when the partnership dissipated and they took on Leongatha Refrigeration Service as their own.
Their company, Be A Smart 1 PTY. LTD, a play on their name, now owns and operates Leongatha Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning.

With three office staff and four mechanics on the road, repairing and installing many different varieties of refrigeration equipment, servicing the dairy, automotive, hospitality, building and health industries, the range of services and products available through us is as diverse as it is large.

Meet the Boss
Often you will find Liz and Brad’s sons at the office, helping envelope statements, crushing boxes for recycling and other things to help earn extra dollars for video games.
Finally, we cannot forget Pearl, the black staffy, Brad’s shadow and the real foreman (or foredog) of the show, just ask her.
